Privacy Policy
About This Policy
This policy explains how Lark Ventures Pty Ltd as trustee for the Lark Venture Trust (ABN 95 830 642 114), trading as “Love To Work Here” (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information in connection with our website and certification service (the “Service”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information We Collect
2.1 From you, as a prospective or existing customer: when you request our free Workplace Pulse Check, book a Discovery Call, or purchase the Service, we collect your email address (mandatory), optionally your name, and any business details you give us as part of that request (e.g. team size or industry). If you purchase the Service, we also collect your business name, phone number, and billing details, and we set you up with login access to your company portal (using the email address provided to us) so you can view your Insights Report, Action Toolkit, and other information relating to your Certification (if achieved). We don't receive or store your full card number - payment is handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe).
2.2 From your business, about your employees: to distribute the Survey, your business provides us with your employees' email addresses, and optionally other contact details such as phone numbers (on request). We use these solely to send the Survey link and any reminders, and we have no way to match them to individual Survey responses - see section 2.3.
2.3 From your employees, as Survey respondents: our Survey doesn't ask employees for their name or any other identifying field, and we don't provide your business with individually identified responses - only aggregated results, themes, and verbatim comments from free-text questions, shown in your company portal. In a small team, it may still be possible to guess or infer who wrote a particular verbatim comment from its content or context, even without a name attached - we don't identify respondents ourselves, but we can't guarantee your business won't be able to guess.
2.4 Website usage data: like most websites, ours may automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referral source, including via cookies or similar technologies (see section 8).
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
provide and administer the Service, including sending the Survey link (and reminders) to your employees, preparing your Insights Report, and issuing certification;
process payment for the Service;
communicate with you about your account, Survey, Pulse Check, or results;
if you opt in, send you marketing communications - we'll ask for your opt-in at the point we collect your details, and every marketing message includes a way to unsubscribe;
improve our methodology, using de-identified or aggregated data; and
meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who We Share Information With
We share personal information with the service providers who help us run the Service and our website. These providers store or process information in a number of countries, including the United States, the European Union, and Ireland.
Before we disclose your personal information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure they don't breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information.
We also share personal information with professional advisers (e.g. our accountant), where reasonably necessary, and with a regulator, court, or other party, where required or authorised by law. We don't sell personal information.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet our legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations (generally up to 7 years for records connected to a sale). Your employees' email addresses are the exception: since we only hold these to send the Survey link and any reminders, we delete them within 60 days of your Survey (or any retest) closing, unless we're required to keep them longer for a legal reason.
Access, Correction and Complaints
7.1 You can ask us to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing certification@lovetoworkhere.com.
7.2 Because our Survey is anonymous, we generally can't identify, access, or correct an individual employee's Survey response - see section 2.3. We can, however, remove an employee's email address from our records if your business asks us to, or if the employee contacts us directly.
7.3 If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, contact us first at certification@lovetoworkhere.com so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children's Information
Our website and Service are directed at business owners and operators, not children. Where an employee under 18 completes our Survey as part of their employer's team (which can happen, e.g. in hospitality or retail), we collect no identifying information from them in the Survey itself, as set out in section 2.3; we only hold their email address (provided by their employer) for the purpose described in section 2.2.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version on our website at the relevant time applies, and we'll note the date it was last updated.
